Hip hop producer, Vice (Play Havoc,Cleveland, OH) along with Entourage DJ Jack Da Rippa (Cleveland,OH) present Jamaica Kings, the official Re-Mixtape, featuring 50 Cent classics over beats using all Bob Marley samples.

“I wanted to something different and special, but yet had a good cohesiveness to it,” says Vice.

“If you study Bob Marley’s music, you know he was an artist for the people, and for the streets,” Vice continued. “I felt the authentic reggae vibe would sound great chopped up and rearranged into a classic, boom bap structure. That’s what I make…real hiphop. I have always respected 50 as a dope emcee and for having a great ear for beats, so I didn’t go into this project lightly. The bar was already set high by the original versions of each song.”

“I really think fans of 50 Cent, Bob Marley, and music in general will enjoy this project. The challenge these days is to be as creative as possible, and I feel Jamaica Kings answers that challenge.”

Vice has spent years manning the production for Ohio-based hip hop group, Play Havoc, and now is branching off into the industry looking to stake claim and reveal one of the Ohio hiphop scene’s best kept secrets.
Jamaica Kings is scheduled to drop in January of 2009. It will be available for free download at www.myspace.com/vicegotbeats and other sites to be announced.
